When running an online webinar/meeting/conference or learning event make sure to focus your attention in these 3 areas to avoid failure…
Reviewing the interface prior to the live event creates an air of stability and comfort. Being comfortable with the learning space results in an attitude of confidence. Provide a place where attendees or learners are not overwhelmed with the technical aspects.
Ground Rules -
Ground rules need to be enforced, ground rules help attendees interpret a guide to identify how to behave appropriately in the course of time with related activities in both the synchronous and asynchronous platforms.
Provide a sense of structure as to where and how your time will be spent, just as you would for a face to face meeting or learning event. Develop and provide a timeline of events that briefly illustrate the agenda with attendees this will add to their sense of security and comfort.
